Huzzah for the movies! After fifty plus weeks of feeling as though life were nothing more than a sick, worthless joke, TIFF is here again. I am sure everyone who has been forced to endure my near constant festival talk of late will be very grateful for the opportunity to not see me for ten days. And I am very much looking forward to spending the dying days of summer waiting in several lines to enjoy a variety of dark theatres.
This year the gang at TSADT are very happy to be providing loads of exclusive reviews from the festival, including coverage of the Midnight Madness program and a wide variety of genre films from the festival at large. Considering we only do this out of the goodness of our hearts, it is really ridiculous how many movies we will be seeing between us. We're like a bunch of freakin' gadabout debutants over here.
As with last year, some of our reviews will still appear on FilmCatcher as well, so please hop over there for a look at their coverage. Their fancy pants site will feature a wealth of video interviews and the like because they are "legitimate" and "famous people" return their "phone calls." Whatever.
You can find everything you need to know about the 2008 TIFF right here, including screening schedules and film synopses.
It is very exciting for us to be able to cover TIFF, so I hope you will check back regularly and enjoy vaguely.
